Grand Opening of New Branch Near Tallahassee Community College

Branch reaching out to community with food-truck event after soft opening in February.

For Immediate Release: March 10, 2017

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – First Florida Credit Union will welcome local residents and Tallahassee Community College students to its new Appleyard Branch with a grand opening from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, at 503 Appleyard Drive.

The branch is currently open for members, and it is now celebrating with an event that will include a food truck, photo booth and the chance to win a $500 Lucky’s Market gift card. Attendees will also be able to find out more about First Florida’s products and services.

The Appleyard Branch is located across from Tallahassee Community College. Its convenient location, e-banking services and 24-hour ATM are a perfect fit for college students on the go, said Matt Collier, First Florida’s Appleyard branch manager.

“We are excited to bring easy, quality service to students and families who are taking their first steps toward financial success,” Collier said. “This event is a great opportunity for us to learn more about this community and for them to discover the unique value that we can offer.”

The Appleyard Branch is First Florida’s fifth location in Tallahassee, and it is part of the credit union’s plan to continue expanding in the local market in 2017.
