Company named to competitive Florida Trend list for the sixth time

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – First Florida Credit Union recently earned the distinction of being one of the Best Companies To Work For In Florida.

The is the sixth time the credit union has obtained a spot on Florida Trend magazine’s list in the midsized category. The company was also the only credit union that received this honor among the top 100 businesses recognized. 

Michelle Troha, senior vice president of marketing at First Florida Credit Union, said her company’s leadership team is pleased to be acknowledged by the magazine once again.  

“We pride ourselves on creating a positive environment where employees are rewarded for exceptional work,” Troha said. “At First Florida Credit Union, we are committed to enriching people every day. That begins with our employees and extends throughout the communities we serve statewide.”

To participate in the program, companies or government entities had to employ at least 15 workers in Florida and have been in operation at least one year. Companies that chose to participate underwent an evaluation of their workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The process also included a survey to measure employee satisfaction. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. 

Best Companies To Work For In Florida was created by Florida Trend and Best Companies Group and is endorsed by the HR Florida State Council. Best Companies Group managed the registration, survey and analysis, and also determined the final rankings.
